Equine Dentistry

Most equine veterinary practices  offer a service in equine dentistry and many veterinarians have undergone postgraduate training in this discipline, including many courses run by BEVA.  We advise that  horse owners discuss any potential dental issues with their practice to determine how the best treatment can be obtained. In addition some dental services (excluding invasive treatments) can be provided by equine dental technicians (EDT's).

Practices which do not provide dental services may have a collaborative link with an accredited EDT.  Equine dental technicians are accredited by BEVA if they are members of the British Association of Equine dental technicans.
