This is an intensive course aimed at delegates with experience of orthopaedic work-ups and advanced imaging techniques. Radiography, ultrasonography, scintigraphy, CT and MRI will be covered – with an emphasis on racehorses and sport horses. The lameness session will cover sport-specific problems in the forelimbs and neck, again covering sport horses and racehorses. Up-to-date areas of diagnosis and treatment, both medical and surgical, will be covered by the panel of experienced speakers: who have extensive theoretical and practical experience. The course will be problem-based with an emphasis on group and panel interactions. The focus will be on contemporary, difficult and contentious topics.
